MA, Doctoral Student Intern
she/her
Tammy is a third-year doctoral clinician in clinical psychology who works with children, adolescents, and adults. She brings an open and curious approach to therapy, with the belief that understanding someone means looking beyond the immediate problem to the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped who they are. Tammy aims to create a therapeutic space that feels comfortable and genuine, where clients can speak openly, explore what may be difficult to put into words, and feel understood without losing sight of the changes they hope to make.
Tammy’s work is grounded in psychodynamic and relational approaches, with particular attention to the ways past and present relationships influence how people see themselves, relate to others, and respond to challenges in their lives. She is especially interested in anxiety, self-esteem, attachment and relationship concerns, and family and couples work. Depending on the needs of each client, Tammy also incorporates CBT and other evidence-based approaches, balancing exploration and insight with practical strategies when helpful.
Tammy has worked with clients across school, community, and clinical settings values the opportunity to understand each client within the broader context of their life. She view's therapy as a relationship that develops around each individual, taking into account their personality, strengths, needs, and goals.
